Who We Are

This policy sets out how we handle your personal information if you’re a SugarSweet customer or visitor to our website sugarsweet.me.

What Personal Data We Collect And Why We Collect It

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

We use email marketing to communicate with customers and potential customers from time to time. All email lists and campaigns are “opt-in” meaning we will not send you these sorts of emails unless you indicated that you wish to receive them during signup or other interactions on our website.

We may send you “system” emails, such as password reset requests or payment notifications/receipts even if you have not opted-in to email marketing lists.

All marketing emails sent by us will include an unsubscribe link in the footer of the email. Emails sent to you may also include standard tracking, including open and click activities.

If you upload media (e.g. images) to the website, you should avoid uploading images with EXIF GPS location data included.

 

Email/Chat/Contact Forms

Customers that email us, or use any of the contact forms on our websites, will have their email address, and any data provided in the contact form or body of the email stored in our email provider.

We use tawkto to provide live chat and live support services. Any data provided during a live chat session with one of our team members will be recorded and logged in an email that. This includes your name, email address, and IP address. The tawkto privacy policy is found here.

We keep all email and chat communication indefinitely to help us provide support and improve our services. Individuals can request copies of any previous correspondence with us at any time.

Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. We use cookies on our site to help identify and track visitors, their usage of our services, and their website access preferences.

Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

Occasionally, we will use third-party advertising companies to serve ads based on prior visits to our Sites. For example, if you visit our site, you may later see an add for our products and services when you visit a different site.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How long we retain your data

For users that register or make a purchase on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile or the guest checkout. All registered users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

 

 What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site or made a purchase, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

An individual who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data, should direct his/her query to info@sugarsweet.me. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, not to exceed one week.

 

How We Protect Your Data

We employ technical and organizational measures designed to appropriately protect your information that is under our control and that we process on your behalf from unauthorized access collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal, both during transmission and once we receive it. We store all information that you provide to us on secure servers. We train employees regarding our data privacy policies and procedures, and permit authorized employees to access information on a need to know basis, as required for their role. We use firewalls designed to protect against intruders and test for network vulnerabilities. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure.

Where you have a password, which enables you to use our services, you are responsible for keeping this password complex, secure, and confidential. If you would like to update or change your password, you may select the “Forgot your password?” link on the login page. You will be sent an email that allows you to reset your password.

 

Privacy Policy Changes

Although most changes are likely to be minor, SugarSweet may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in SugarSweet’s sole discretion. SugarSweet will notify clients by email when making changes.
